Mirrors

All of our mirrors are made of the same quality. Mirrors are not fabricated in house. We install. Please contact us for inquiry on installation prices.

Mirrors come in (3) thickness depending how they are installed and what they will be used for.

  • 1/8” Thick - This is the thinnest mirror we have. Mainly used for picture frames and closet doors. We can not bevel, make holes or cutouts on 1/8” mirrors. They are too thin and fragile.

  • 3/16” Thick - This thickness can be used for frames or projects.

  • 1/4” Thick - This is our thickest mirror. We use this mirror for vanities. We ONLY recommend 1/4” when installed a mirror onto a wall.

Example: Walls are not straight or perfect. If you install a mirror thinner than 1/4” there is a high chance that the mirror will shape and warp to your wall causing the effect of a “fun house/carnival mirror”.

Mirror Edge-works:

  • Seamed Edges - non-sharp edges - no charge. This is recommend for non-exposed edges.

  • Ground Edges - sanded down smooth dull edge. This is the cheapest/standard option edge.

  • Flat Polish Edges - high polished finished edge.

  • Bevel Edges - this edge creates a frame design on the edges of your mirror that is 1/2” or 1” thick.

*Please Note: Electricity and lights shown in photographs are not installed or provided by ABC GLASS INC. We only provide the mirror and the installation of the mirror itself.

Why is my bathroom mirror turning black?

“Desilvering often occurs in mirrors placed in bathrooms as they are exposed to a high level of moisture, the water can seep into the silver backing. Moisture breaks down the bond between the glass and the backing product causing the silver layer to chip off leaving the mirror with black spots or edges wherever the silver layer is damaged.

This can also break down due to age, or incorrect glass cleaners.”
